Then I noticed someone else. I don't know exactly what to call him other than an Ex-Marine-KGB-Men-in-Black-Spy Guy. Can you see him? He's in the upper right quadrant.
I'll zoom in.
See what I'm talking about?! He's got a short crew-cut, dark glasses (probably Ray bans), and a red nose. He bugs me. The alien was bad enough, but now this guy?
Who knew that one piece of art could be so haunted? There is one more person in that painting I've been able to locate. I'll have to save her for another day.
Do you have any art in your house that gives you the creeps?
The ceiling in my bedroom used to do that, when I was a kid and slept on the top bunk. I could see images in the textured paint, and some of them watched me all night...
ReplyDeleteI used to have a ceiling like that too! AND I slept on the top bunk! Crazy!
DeleteHaha it's better than "how doth the little bee improve each shining hour and gather nectar all the day from every opening flower!" or whatever.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! That made me laugh so hard. That wall paper cracks me up. When I was a kid, in the old house, the downstairs bathroom had black and white wallpaper covered with cartoon outhouses. I've never seen anything like it. I wish I had a picture.
DeleteI have a spot on the ceiling over my shower that looks like an ogre glaring at me. I need to paint over it, but I feel if I did I would miss the little guy. Haha, there is also a spot on my wall that is wood grain; in the wood grain you can see a long curvy face of a bearded wizard. I can see it, my family thinks I am crazy, but I know it is there.....haha. Nice post by the way.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Maybe it's Treebeard from Lord of the Rings. It just goes to show who has the imagination in the family.
DeleteAHHH! That is just too cool! Who knew all those people/aliens were watching! Our bathroom is made out of pine and there are tons of faces in that wood. It's a little creepy. ;)
DeleteThanks for the news about Chocolate (on my blog post)! Yay! I'm so stocking up on that stuff.
hahaha...I love this :) Don't have any art in our home yet...just got out of the struggling college phase. But I'm excited to get some and get creeped out ;) Thanks again for your advice and for being willing to read my first chapter. My email address is keanini23@gmail.com :)
ReplyDeletelol I'm sorry but I can't see the new guy, but when I saw the alien it gave me a chill. Seriously, if that alien was in MY bathroom I'd get rid of the picture.
ReplyDeleteThe new guy is looking off to the left, with a big red nose. :)
DeleteWhat does it mean that the first time I visited your blog was the alien in the flowers and when I come back again after too long it's the army guy on the wall? Maybe it's my destiny to save you from the creeps in your painting...maybe not.
ReplyDeleteI do have several impressionist prints in my house. I tend not to look at them.
I don't know what it means, but I'm sure it means something. That's a pretty big coincidence. :) I don't really believe in coincidences... I believe in signs.
DeleteActually, I got a cool painting of an Indian that way. Uncle T's wife had it hanging in their bedroom for years. Then all of the sudden his eyes started giving her the creeps and it was banished to their closet for a decade. Now he gets to read over my shoulder in my office. I don't mind him.
ReplyDeleteIndians are cool! That reminds me of my grandmother's house. She used to have this huge painting of a stern-looking ancestor. His eyes followed you wherever you went--it always seemed like he was looking at us. It scared me to death when I was young.
DeleteI have a baby seal face on my front door...
ReplyDeleteOne of those red flowers reminds me of on from Alice in Wonderland.
