Perhaps together we can find the answers to many heretofore unsolvable mysteries.
is for Log-in
In a day when I can talk to Siri on my phone and have her collect information from the nebulas cloud, why are login screens still so troublesome? By now, shouldn't our computers do a retinal scan and automatically log us in? A thumbprint scanner to the side of the of the track pad--how hard would that be?
The worst, of course, are the Captcha codes. You know, those impossible to read words that you must enter to prove you're a human being.
And if for some reason you can't read those, you can opt for the audio version. I tried that once and ended up rolling on the floor laughing. It sounded just like that part in the movie Signs when they are listening to alien chatter on the baby monitor. Indecipherable.
Now days, the thing is to make the Captcha code into a witty cartoon. Examples:
Tomorrow's Questions: Lamesauce Creatures |
This is the funniest captcha post I've read yet.
ReplyDeleteSnork.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! You just turned something completely hateful into something fun. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHaha!! Very true! The cartoons would be a lot of help!x
ReplyDeleteLOL! Love the cartoons. It would at least make captchas a bit more entertaining instead of just evil and frustrating.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are my captcha hero!
ReplyDeleteI can live with Captcha though I don't love it. I hate when your tory to comment and you are told to select profile and there is no name/url option. If I use open ID it tells me to sign into Wordpress. I'm Already signed into Wordpress. Makes me crazy and I've had lots of problems on the various Blogging A to Z sites. Can't leave comments...can't find where the comments go. I don't think that some people ever look at their own blogs or read anyone else's. There, I'm finished. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe challenge has made me hate Captcha. I visit up to 100 blogs a day, and must leave messages for folks to turn the damn thing off. (and be polite about it too!) I love your humor.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to the rest of your challenge run…can’t believe we’ve had 14 days already!

I used to be able to handle captcha but it's gotten more and more intelligible. the worst is when a failed captcha eats your post. Not the biggest problem in life, but a minor annoyance enough to create awesome troll face comics.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to follow your blog now since you're awesome :)
