is for Over
As in it's all over. For all of us. The end of life as we know it. How will we meet our end?
Will we run out of time, like the Mayans predicted? Will it all be over on December 21, 2012?
Will it be from social and economic collapse?
Will an alien species wipe us out?
Will we wipe ourselves out?
Or maybe the planet will have had enough and get rid us itself--like a giant flea bath.
Or will it be a peaceful, beautiful thing?
If you can answer this question, you win!
Bonus: REM - It's the End of the World (As We Know It)
PS: If the Mayans are right and it all ends in December, I'm going to be mad I wasted my time exercising and eating healthy!
Tomorrow's Question: Expecto (fill in the blank) |
Zombie apocalypse.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go make some cookies right now, just in case it is all over in December.
ReplyDeleteMost likely, 'no man knoweth', but everybody guessin'. Hey, nice to meet you, even if it is only for a short time.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I love your PS. Ditto!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Michelle. If the world's ending what the heck am I doing on a diet?
ReplyDeleteBesides, the end of the world as I know it could happen any money. I could get in a car crash, slip in the shower, have an aneurysm. Every moment is precious.
*any moment
ReplyDeleteSheesh
Do you think Christmas shopping will be down this year?? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Brooke: Zombie Apocalypse.
ReplyDeleteOh well! If it's over and out all I can say is I tried to live my best life. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI sort of think we'll destroy ourselves. That or zombies for sure.
ReplyDeleteIf it ends then I don't have to get my husband a birthday gift since his birthday is 12/22. *giggle*
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the A to Z Challenge!
Giggle, Laugh, Cry
Zombies. Definitely zombies. I watch "The Walking Dead" to prepare. (Although, I'll probably just offer myself up with some ketchup to the first zombie that knocks because really, me, use a crossbow? Sheesh.) :)
ReplyDeleteI remember watching a show years ago about the end of the world on 12/21/2012. They talked like electronics would come alive and destroy us or something crazy like that. Still, I do suggest being nice to our computers and such, just in case. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe answer is all of the above, depending on what each person believes for himself or herself. So long as our ending does not involve aliens or some kind of apocalypse-like scenario, lol, I frankly couldn't care less when it's all over. Your P.S. note made me laugh ;)
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Superb take on "O", Julie. Fascinated by your "about me" page as well..... what is sticky toffee pudding, and do you have a recipe??
ReplyDeleteGlad you stopped by my site and more glad that I returned your visit. I am now a follower....
Patricia, Sugar & Spice & All Things ? Nice
You've distracted me with REM. Was there a question?
ReplyDelete*wink*
Wonderful post. My answer is that it's not over, because we always find ways to keep meaning alive. That's why we have kids, write diaries and now blogs, take pictures and tell stories, to carry on, to keep going, to take into the next level and to share the calories of that chocolate cake.
ReplyDeleteZOMBIES!!! Yes Haha. Most certainly. Just like in my stories. It's useless to fight them, they have no fear.
ReplyDeleteRealistically, I don't believe the world will end this year. To me, it's hard to put any real faith in a civilization that didn't seem aware of its own impending doom. Besides, I much prefer to live life positively and optimistically. I try to live life to the fullest now, so I may leave this life with as few regrets as possible
ReplyDeleteIf I got to pick, I'd choose the last one. I like a peaceful life, so I'd like to have a peaceful death, too! :)
